Description
Workshop “THE CITY ON STAGE:DIORAMAS” SATURDAY 17H (Children over 8 years old - under 8 years old should be accompanied by an adult) // The photographic images of Teófilo Rego jump on stage inside a small diorama made of paper! We will build a mobile scenic device, from which new scenes, in miniature, will rise and can be photographed as if they were a landscape with characters on a theatre or cinema set. This workshop works with drawing and tridimensional compositional space, from photographs, transforming them again in bi-dimensional photographic images. - - - Workshop “CIANOTIPIA” SUNDAY 15H (General Public; this workshop depends on good weather conditions) // This workshop experiments with the cyanotype technique created by John Herschel in 1842, explored by photographer and botanist Anna Atkins, and by artists like Robert Rauschenberg and Susan Weil. The conjunction of different elements taken from our daily use, like cutouts, plants, shells, glass and our own body, contribute for the creation of new images and new narrative spaces, in several shades of blue.
